May I be assigned to work with other families or friends?
Yes! The registration form has a place to sign up as a team with other families or friends.

Can my children participate?
Yes, conditionally.  Please responsibly consider that Serve Annapolis is a work-intensive mission environment and will demand strict parental supervision for children under the age of 13. Stay safe!

Will childcare be provided?
No.

Will we be serving all day - will there be a lunch break?
Please plan to take necessary work breaks! A sack lunch, snack, and bottled water will be provided; you may want to consider bringing additional snacks and bottled water. Do not overdo, rest as necessary, stay hydrated and work safe!

How will I know my project assignment?
You will be emailed notification of your project team assignment and the general scope of service to be rendered. To the extent it is possible, you may expect to be assigned to projects that will most effectively use your registered skill sets and gifts.

What should I wear?
Your project Team Leader will contact you with specifics; however, you should plan to wear comfortable work clothes suitable for the conditions including good shoes, gloves, hat and sunscreen for outdoors. You are expected to dress in appropriately modest attire.

Do I bring my own tools?
Yes, to the extent that you know what tools are needed; especially helpful are painting and yard work/landscaping tools, including wheelbarrows.

I only have a couple of hours to spare. Can I split a shift with another person? Can I work only a few hours and leave?
Yes, please note on your registration card that you will be serving a partial day.
